Greetings in the name of the LORD!
We praise God for another Sunday School LIVE via Zoom!
We thank you parents for your unceasing partnership and making each Sunday an unforgettable time of fellowship, learning, and growing in Christ.
We do encourage that you review today’s lessons and further study with your child.
Recap:
*We looked at Philippians 4:10–13
“I can do all things through Christ because he gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:10–13, ICB)
*We learned that when Paul says he can do anything through Christ, does he mean he can fly? Or turn into the Hulk? (No. Paul means he can do anything God wants him to do.)
*We listened to "I Can Do All Things" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bkuCbmjCzA
Challenge given:
Talk with your child about the challenge and let them create by either putting it into a song, poetry, pictures/drawings, photography, essay, dance etc. and do share it with us at sundayschoolcabc@gmail.com
It sounds fun to think of God helping us do anything we want to do. But can you think of ways it could be trouble?
For Further Study:
Use these questions to talk to your child about the message of Philippians. Then consider taking the so-what challenge to incorporate this session’s message into your own life alongside your child.
SO WHAT?
For Toddlers
Teach your child the phrase, “With Jesus, I can do all God wants me to.”
For Grade Schoolers
Have a conversation about the happiness Paul talks about in this passage. What are some recent situations that have made your child unhappy? Talk to him or her about how God can give them strength to be happy in every situation, even that difficult one.
For You
Life is tough. There’s no getting around that fact, but Paul’s contentment isn’t meant to be a truth for children alone. Where do you struggle to experience the kind of happiness we discussed in this session? Ask God to continue shaping your heart to rely on Him at all times for contentment.
For next Sunday:
Next Sunday we encourage our students to share any family activities, fun crafts, games, and or photos they like to do with their family. We will have a time of sharing, please come prepared!
Read Philippians 4:19–20
We hope to see you next Sunday at 9:30 am!
A new Zoom link will be sent to you via email within the week.
