Biblical Principe on Christian Giving

1 Corinthians 16:1-4 New King James Version (NKJV)

1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: 2 On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come. 3 And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem. 4 But if it is fitting that I go also, they will go with me.

SERMON NOTES

Introduction: Giving what we have whether time, talent or treasure, to the Lord is a privilege as well as responsibility that He has given to his people from time immemorial. To ensure that they fulfill this in a way that honors Him, He has set principles in Scriptures as the bases of acceptable giving. From thee short verses, I glean at least 4 principles.

  1. Giving should be done _______________________.

  2. Giving should be done _______________________.

  3. Giving should be done _______________________.

  4. Giving should be done _______________________.
